Kite bag re-inforced with dacron insert 22/07/2021.
Spar pockets checked and two re-sewn 26/07/2021.

The kite will be taken to Portsmouth with a new spreader and some spare parts but might also be flown with a long tail to prevent overflying!
The Late Delta has a new lightweight frame so this was a 'test flight' which ended with a broken spar as the kite overflew the top of the wind window and 'fell out of the sky'!
For some reason the ferrules in the spreader had been pushed in so that only about 1/4 of the length of the ferrule was inserted into the connecting component!

Finally addressed the framing of the delta after the success with the 3m Rokkakus.
I have lost track of the previous light weight frame components as at 15th June 2025.

All set in somewhat dubious wind conditions on Blackheath.
A short flight but a gust caught the kite pointing in the wrong direction so it flew hard and fast into the ground.

Another flight in light conditions.
The Delta was initially flown on the middle keel tow point today but was switched to the forward point as the breeze gusted stronger.
It was very good to see these two late kites with similar graphics in the air together.
