On Sunday there was a slightly stonger easterly breeze but again the passing thermals shifted the direction and strength of the breeze continuously throughout the day. Overall it seemed as though there was more useable wind on Sunday but even though the temperature was slightly lower, about 28C, it was very hot in the direct sun.

The 1993 Decorators Kite Pin Kite that was re-fabricated in 2024 was flown today and the red 1992 design Not Zen joined it in the air.

The 2m Rokkaku in the 'pin' design from 1993. Drachen Design, in conjunction with the World Kite Museum in Long Beach, invited the team to participate in the 1993 Kite Pin Invitational and 1993 Fifth Anniversary Kite Exhibit.

In 2024 having found the original drawings Felix asked Paul and Helene Morgan aka Sky Bums to fabricate a new sail which was delivered at the Berrington Hall event.

It was flown alongside the larger Rokkaku Kite by Jørgen Møller Hansen in a very light breeze.

The 2m kite was prepared by Paul and Helene Morgan, a white sail with black border.

Felix appliquéd the red and black fabric including a layer of mylar under the black elements.

The kite was probably exhibited at The World Kite Museum as well but that is under investigation as at December 2024.

The Museum is checking to see if they have the kite.

The mylar inserts are considerably more light proof than ripstop nylon and do not weigh much!

The team rokkaku was made in 1988 on a white sail from Paul and Helene Morgan with the Matisse design appliquéd by Felix. It was flown at the Dieppe event in 1988 and awarded a prize cup!
